AEDL-theory of caregiving (KROHWINKEL)
AEDL is the abbreviation of "Aktivitäten und existentielle Erfahrunngen des Lebens" = "activities and existential experiences of life".
There are 13 AEDLs:
- to maintain the vital functions of life
- to communicate
- to move
- to clean himself
- to eat and to drink
- to pass faeces
- to get dressed
- to rest and to sleep
- to be busy
- to feel as a man, as a woman
- to take care of a secure place
- to take care of social duties
- to deal with extential experiences
The AEDLs had been developped by Monika KROHWIHKEL. Guided by these AEDL a caregiver can check the problems and the resources of a needy person.
